Procedure for Admission

 

Students can enter at any level. Applications must be made on the official application form attached with this prospectus or available through e-mail or from the school office. The following are required with any application:

 

-         A passport style photograph of the applicant.

-         Application fee of $150.00 payable to the Villa Education Trust.

-         Photocopy of the child’s most recent school report.

-         Completed application form.

-         The students information and parent information forms.

Interviews

After receiving the application an interview will be arranged. Both the child and the parent(s) are required at the interview. The interview will last approximately 30 minutes. Students who are accepted may be required to sit an entrance test at a later date to help with profiling for the initial I.E.P. that they will have.

 

Aspire Scholarships

From 2009 the Government are offering Aspire Scholarships. The Aspire Scholarship provides assistance for low income families towards the costs of private secondary schooling. It will contribute up to $15,000 per year towards the fees of a private school for the duration of a student’s attendance at this school. School Fees 2010

 (All amounts inclusive of GST)

Application Fee (applies to all students)

$150.00 (non-refundable)

Entrance Fee (applies to accepted students)

$300.00 (non-refundable)

Tuition Fees (NZ Citizens and permanent residents)

Fees as shown below, will be charged four times per year and will be due and payable at the end of the first week of every term.

$2350 (per term)

$9400 (per year)

Discount is set at 10% where there are two students from the same family.

Options

A monthly payment option is available and if the full year’s fees are paid at the beginning of Term 1 then a $400 discount per family is offered.

Technology Fee

$300.00 For CD’s, disks, etc, that the students will keep.

Additional Costs (these additional fees will be minimised through our cooperation with businesses.)

 

An Activity Fee is charged each term and includes transport, event and facility entry.  The fee for 2010 is $350.00 per term.

Overseas Students Tuition Fees

These fees apply to all students without permanent residence in NZ. It does not include the cost of private tuition in any area nor uniform items which must be paid for separately.

The annual tuition fees for overseas students must be paid in full by 17January 2010 to provide adequate time for a student visa for Mt Hobson Middle School to be issued by the NZ Immigration Service. The fees are:

$16,500.00.

This includes:  Application Fee, Technology Fee, Term 1-4 Activity Fee
